Halil Zeka fled to Germany in 1994 after he was assaulted by Serbian police because of his political affiliations and activities. In 2002, Germany sent Halil and his wife back to Kosovo. Although he suffers from a heart condition, he does not receive social aid because he does not meet the criteria of the Health Care system. Before 1994, he worked for a Serbian company that longer operates in Kosovo. He does not receive a pension.
