In the wake of the death of 16 Egyptian police officers in Sinai in early August 2012 the Egyptian Authorities have closed some of the tunnels located along the Gaza Strip border. Egyptian officials suspect that the 5-man commando who has attacked the border crossing point may have come from Palestinian territory.
